A converted stone building, that started life as a jail as long ago as 1740, is now a live venue priding itself in showcasing a diverse range of music from all over the world.
Fiddlers is a family-owned club in South Bristol and has been in business since 1994, when the 18th century building was converted. The former jail dating from 1740, now showcases a variety of high-calibre international acts from the genres of rock, roots, jazz and world music. Fiddlers boasts an impressive list of previous performers including Robert Plant, Feeder, Buzzcocks, The Magic Numbers, Lee “Scratch” Perry, KT Tunstall and Carleen Anderson, to name but a few. The club, with a capacity of 450, has a variety of rooms in which to enjoy the music in comfort and style. Licensed until 2am, Fiddlers operates a strict over 18’s only admission policy and enforces a smart casual dress code. The price for gig tickets usually range between £7 and £17, but cannot be bought on the door, so make sure you book in advance.
