Home to club night and live evenings, there is something to appeal to all at this venue.
The Carling Academy is the second largest music venue in Bristol. The Academy frequently attracts big name bands on their UK tours, such as Editors, The Charlatans, Ordinary Boys and Amy Winehouse, as well as more intimate gigs in Academy 2; a small 350 capacity venue within the Academy building. There are also regular club nights at the Academy, which are popular with students, especially Ramshackle on Fridays. Open from 10pm until 3am, with last admission at 1am, Ramshackle is a favourite for lovers of indie, with Generation X in Room 2 playing a great selection of Rock, Metal and Punk. Great deals on drinks and cheap admission on club nights makes a night out at the Academy fit well within a budget. Make sure you always remember ID, as the club operates a strict over 18’s only admission and your NUS card will get you a discount on admission for Ramshackle!
