A core principle of UWE Students' Union is that it is run by students for students.
This is not only achieved by the election of four students as Presidents of UWESU, but by various other means that put UWE students and their views at the heart of the Union.

Hearing and responding to the student voice is one of the most important roles of a Students’ Union and something we are totally committed to at UWE Students’ Union.
This webpage contains lots of information about the Student Representative system for students and staff; and all the resources necessary for our current Student Reps and Halls Reps.
Elections
Every year UWESU gives students the chance to elect who they want to see run the Union.

Campaigns
Here at UWESU we believe organising and running campaigns is a fundamental part of what we do on behalf of our students.We campaign for the rights of students whether it is promoting equal opportunities, fighting for better sports facilities or campaigning for improved academic provisions.

In spring 2004 UWESU passed a new Constitution to govern the Students' Union.

F&GP is responsible for making the financial decisions of the SU.
Councils
The Student Representative Council (SRC) canvasses and identifies the views of the student members of the University relating to their educational experience. It is made up from members from each faculty, the SRC Vice President, and is chaired by the SRC President.
