Sports Executive is changing...
To better represent the needs of our sports members and allow greater personal development, the structure of Sports Executive is changing.
The new structure is a fantastic opportunity for any member of a sports club to get involved and influence the direction of sport at UWE. Below are just a few of the benefits of the change:
- More room for personal development. For example to sit on higher Student s’ Union Committees or chair sub committees, e.g. events committee.
- More opportunity to offer specific advice and use specific skills. For example, website design
- More specific training can be offered, e.g. the NUS campaigning training
- An opportunity to develop each executive role and thus develop Students’ Union Sport
- An opportunity to improve aspects of Students’ Union sport such as events and campaigns
- More specific roles will offer more clarity for committee members when they have questions
- An opportunity for members to use other skills
- An opportunity for students to go on internal and external training courses
- An opportunity to compliment students courses or career path
