American Football is high-tempo, aggressive, but most importantly fun and a good change of pace for those bored of conventional sport. American football is your chance to make 50 friends in an instance, 50 buddies who can show you about town, have a laugh and a drink with you and introdce you to our good friends the Comets Cheerleaders.

Once again the American football team has had a good year reaching the ¼ finals of the national championship. The 2009/2010 season is expected to be another exciting year, going all the way to the top of University American football. The game of American football is fast, highly skilled, highly challenging and aggressive. If you feel you’ve got what it takes to be a national champion and be part of a tight knit family of players then American football is for you!

Where they train/meet

Mid-week training – Wednesday nights at the Centre for Sport Astroturf, training/games Sundays at Filton WISE. Mid-week socials Mondays/Thursdays, post game socials Sunday nights.

£ 20.00

Membership is £20 plus £150 membership fees split over 2 terms, which include all training session, games and transport, end of year awards night, team game jersey, team polo shirt, game socks and the use of club kit and equipment.

What you'll need:
> Suitable foot wear for both grass and astro turf.
> Clothing dependant on weather but preferably rugby/football style clothing, to be worn underneath upper body padding.
> We will provide players with lower body protection as part of the sports health and safety requirements.
> A mouth guard is compulsory kit for all.


We take our sport very seriously and we hope new members can share in our dedication to the success of the club and UWESport, we work hard and we play hard but that doesn’t mean we don’t have fun and enjoy ourselves along the way. Joining the Bullets is like becoming part of family, hopefully one that will continue to grow and prosper both on and off the field.
