UWE PAIRS

Politics & International Relations Society PAIRS

PAIRS is a society for all students interested in domestic and international politics.

The society aims to create a social enviroment to discuss current issues and topics and to provide networking opportunities. The debates will be on a range of topics that can be suggested by anyone.

While the society makes the learning of Politics and International relations more engaging, it is by no means on

ly for the students of these subjects. We encourage all students interested in current affairs to join and all that is require is the interest for current affairs. We also co-operate with other political societies at UWE and organize official debates with them once a term.

Model United Nations conferences are an official part of PAIRS activities. We attempt to participate in at least one MUN a year together, plus inform our members about up-coming MUNs around the world. The first UWE Model UN Conference was organized in October 2012 and we now hold regular bi-weekly Model UN Sessions.

The most common activities are the regular socials and debates, that take turn each week. We also attempt to keep our eyes open for interesting talks locally, nationally and within the university.
