Types of Vacancies

The vacancies the Jobshop deals with can basically be split into 2 sections.

1) Internal
Internal refers to all the positions within UWE and the Students' Union that are available to students. The Students' Union employ around 250 students every year to run our venues, shops, activities centre, print shop and other services and for specific events like freshers.

2) External
External refers to the hundreds of local and national companies that use the Jobshop each year in their search to fill a whole host of part-time, casual and temporary posts. There's admin jobs, nursing, bar jobs, care work, telesales, customer service and a lot more besides. We advertise jobs from every part of the Bristol area so there's bound to be something convenient for you. And if you don't see a job you like, we can give tips on where to look, and generally make the whole job hunting business a lot less hassle. All jobs are advertised on noticeboards in the Jobshop at Frenchay and in the SU offices at Glenside, St Matts, and Bower Ashton for you to peruse whenever you please, but to really get the most out of the Jobshop, you need to register for the free weekly e-mail of jobs.
