Changing Direction

If, for whatever reason, you are thinking about changing course, transferring to another University or withdrawing for a period of time, then it is important that you speak to your faculty student adviser before doing anything drastic.

They will be able to discuss all possible options available to you. Other people who will be able to help include:

  • Students' Union Advice Centre
  • Student Advice and Welfare Services

There are a number of things to bear in mind, particularly the issue of funding. E.g. if you are LEA funded you will need to contact them and inform them of your intentions as there could be financial implications involved due to your change of situation.

For more information see the relevant section in the University Student Handbook or refer to the Advice Centre's leaflet entitled 'Changing Direction'.
