UWESU Student Led Teaching Awards

This year, UWE Students' Union will be recognising members of University staff and mentors for excellent quality teaching and student support. This is where you come in!

This year the Students’ Union has received funding off the Higher Education Academy and the National Union of Students to carry out a Student Led Teaching Awards Project. Throughout February students were able to nominate any UWE member of staff for one of 7 awards celebrating their impact on student’s lives. During this period we received 164 nominations from across the university, including staff from UWE Federation Colleges, academic and non-academic staff. Full details of the categories can be found here . The shortlisted nominees and winners will be invited to the Annual Student Rep Awards to receive their awards, and the winners also recognised at the Better Together Awards.

Do you know a lecturer or someone that's supported you through some challenging times at University?  Who do you look forward to being taught by?  Have you been inspired by a member of staff whilst on placement?  We're giving you the opportunity to nominate them for an award!

The winners, chosen by a panel of judges, will be presented with their award with a combined Student Led Teaching Awards and Student Rep Awards dinner on the 28th of March this year.

Please note that Nominations for Student Led Teaching Awards 2012 are now closed. The ceremony will take place later this mont.
