Hi, I’m Annie and I will be your Vice President of Societies and Communications this year. I will be working alongside Lydia, the Societies and Communications officer, to organise all of the Societies at UWE to ensure that they are financially sustainable and to guarantee that you are achieving all that you wish to. We will also be working towards increasing the audience of the various communication outlets around UWE.

There are 37 different Societies this year providing you with ample opportunity to get involved with something that you are passionate about. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have an extra-curricular outlet from the stresses of uni life and you are welcome to create a new society if your interests aren’t accounted for. It is an important way to make friends for life and will create opportunities to excel your profile as a future graduate.

• To pursue a strong drive towards fundraising in order to heighten the societies prospects
• To encourage more integration between the societies through the creation of a Societies Night
• To increase the advertisement of the societies and your events to enhance your profile
• To establish greater connections with the local media
• To listen to you and work together towards a common goal
