Sci-Fi & Fantasy Society (Psi-Phi)

Brand new for 2011/12; UWE's first Sci-Fi & Fantasy Society! We are a social group for like minded individuals that run weekly movie, quiz and game nights as well as fancy dress evenings. This year we are planning Sci-Fi AND Fantasy related Museum visits to educate and entertain, Convention trips to meet your favourite stars, movie nights and quizzes with tons of prizes to be won throughout the year! We're related to anything from Star Trek to Lord of the Rings, from horrors and the scary like zombie and ghost flicks, to the fantastical like Harry Potter. We've even been known to dabble in the odd paranormal caper! Catered for all and any level of interest welcome.

We also organise alternative events such as ghost tours & zombie walks with make-up tutorials, classic socials like laser quest, neon bowling and mini-golf as well as weekly on-campus and town movie nights open to anyone and everyone! Just email with your requests and we will see what we can do.

We are also a stepping stone for Massively Multiplayer Online Gaming (MMO's) where we provide groups and contact details for those interested and facilitate real life communication for organising online 'virtual events' including PC games like World of Warcraft, Star Wars: The Old Republic via our Steam client group (in links to the right), as well as Xbox Live and PS3 online gaming. We even have a reading book group!
