Read International
Volunteers are now being recruited for the Read International Campus Book Drive. Get Involved!
A global education charity started in 2004 by students to send books and educational resources to schools in Tanzania and Uganda.
Student volunteers are key to the success of the charity
Volunteers are now being recruited for the Read International Campus Book Drive
Aim: To collect thousands of books of ALL sizes, shapes and subjects on each and every UK university campus!
Volunteers will collect books at all campuses, then sort through the books and send the best, most relevant, up-to-date books to Tanzania/Uganda. Those we can't send, we'll sell or recycle - it's that simple.
Volunteer Roles Available:
- Project Leaders – to lead volunteers in collecting books and coordinating the project.
- Fundraisers – organise events to raise funds for READ international project funds
- General Volunteers – To be part of a team and help with various activities of the project
Interested?? Get in touch now! It's going to be a whole lot of fun.
READ will provide training, support and resources and you can also get extra support from your Volunteer Support Officer at UWE
If you are interested in getting involved contact your Volunteer Support Officer Helen Seacombe: helen.seacombe@uwe.ac.uk
