The Skin Studios Scholarship 2007
The Skin Student Scholarship has been set up to build a bridge between the academic world of under-graduate photography students and the established world of high level commercial photography.
Skin Studios was named after a central theme in our perception of beauty - the skin - it remains a source of fascination for us in its interpretation and capture. Skin Studios is seeking to inspire photographic students and give them the forum to present their work to a cross section of people in the photographic industry, and gain experience of working in a top level professional environment.
Photography students are invited to enter their images for the opportunity of winning the Skin Studios Scholarship Prize 2007. The winner gets an amazing internship at Skin Studios; giving them incredible insights into the top level world of commercial photography, and includes thier own fully funded professional fashion shoot.
Deadline for entries is Friday 11th May and is free. Students have until then to wow us with their own visualisation of beauty, as expressed through Skin. They may draw their entries from college project work, or their own individual work, style and interpretation is up to them.

The exhibition, held at Skin Studios in Kensington, will provide great exposure for the finalists by attracting Photographers, agents and the Media. The awards are being presented in conjunction with Premier Model Management (www.premiermodelmanagement.com ), Sola Lighting (www.solalights.com ) and Cancer Research UK (www.cancerresearchuk.org ).
