UWE Students’ Union (UWESU) are looking for a highly committed and dynamic student trustee for 2012/13 to join the UWESU Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees acts on behalf of UWESU with the ultimate responsibility for the strategic direction and financial well-being of the organisation. The role of a student trustee is to ensure that all decisions are made with the best interests of students at heart and that UWESU is serving its members to the best of its ability.
No prior experience needed; you just need to be a UWE student in 2012/13, committed to the values and vision of the Students’ Union and willing and able to contribute to the trustee meetings. We will give you the training and support to succeed in your role and you will gain unique skills for your CV. The Board meets at least 4 times a year in the evening and you will also be expected to attend additional sub-committee meetings. This is a volunteer position but all reasonable out of pocket expenses will be paid.
