How to Buy a UWESU Card

UWESU Cards cost £3 and are available from...

SU Offices:

Frenchay, Glenside, St Matt’s, Bower Ashton & Hartpury

Mail Order:

Send us the following and we will send you your card.

•     A cheque for £3 made payable to UWE Students' Union
•     A stamped self addressed envelope
•     A photocopy of your UWE Student ID card
•     A passport sized photograph
•     Your UWESU Membership Number for the year. Register/update online and this will create your new membership number for this year.
•     Send the above to "Membership Cards, UWE Students' Union, Frenchay Campus, Coldharbour Lane, Frenchay, Bristol. BS16 1QY."

Post Graduate Students
Are often issued with University Staff ID cards; additional proof of student status will be requested as University Staff are not entitled to UWESU Membership cards.

Stolen cards
Will be replaced free of charge as long as you have a valid crime reference number.

MUST I have a UWESU Membership & Discount card?

No, but the benefits of paying £3 for the card make the card well worth having. With one trip to the cinema the card will instantly pay for itself and continue to save you money throughout out the year.

What discounts can I get with my card?

With over 200 discounts available in Bristol for card holders you will easily save yourself a packet with the card. First Bus in Bristol provide a number of student discounts to UWESU card holders See: http://www.firstgroup.com/students/bristol/ And just a trip to the cinema can save you the £3 your paid for your card. The UWESU card displays the National Union of Students logo which is what most shops & organisations look for when offering a student discount. So you will find that the card is useful throughout the UK and even when travelling further afield.

What's the NUS Extra Card?

The NUS Extra Card can give you even more discounts that are exclusive to card holders from major retailers such as Dell, Apple and Staples with many online discounts such as Amazon and Play. The cards cost £11 and are available from: www.nus.org.uk

Where does the money go?

The money raised by UWESU via the sale of cards will be invested back into the student services, sports & activities that the Students’ Union provides, for you. UWESU is a not-for-profit charity status organisation.
