Open 11am to 12pm this is a country pub in the city. They serve country pub food for £3 to £5 a main meal, they have jazz Fridays, bands at weekends and a very popular jukebox at all other times. They have darts and cribbage teams as well as a big screen TV and garden. Although it shows all the major sporting events it is very much a rugby pub. A pint is £2.60 and a house double £2. The bowls in the garden is definitely worth a try.
