UWE Women’s Rugby is an established rugby club fostering the spirit of rugby both on and off the pitch.
We welcome individuals from all skill levels.
We are a diverse team dedicated to achieving success in our sport, creating positive role models for our university and providing members with support and enjoyment in both sporting and social situations, gaining a life-long network of friends.
We continue to improve and grow as a competitive team and ensure development of the sport of rugby at UWE.
Where they train/meet
Our training takes place at Bristol Saracens RFC by Cribbs Causeway.
The main training session takes place on Mondays from 7 – 9pm. This generally involves coaching to develop general skills, contact work and game play run throughs. Afterwards, we usually have a pint in The Anchor on Gloucester Road.
Our other designated training session takes place on Wednesdays from 2 – 4pm, only when we have no fixture arranged. Our socials also take place every Wednesday evening: whether we win, lose or draw, we celebrate! A sponsor will be arranged for our meets.
Each year we are renowned for our antics on tour, a week to let your hair down and truly get to know one another! Last year’s tour to Salou (Spain) and the previous tour to Dublin were a roaring success. There will be a tour this season, details of which will be announced later in the year.
