UWE Women’s Basketball is played in a fun yet competitive environment. The team competes in BUCS and WEBBA leagues, and holds an end of season varsity game against Bristol University.
The girls work very hard to learn and develop their skills around study and other commitments. Socials are held together with the men’s basketball club every fortnight, during term time usually, which includes nights out, bowling, ice skating, going to the cinema, sports tour, camping, day trip etc.
Notable socials throughout the year include the Christmas dinner, the sports award dinner and the end of season ballers social.
Where they train/meet
We meet twice a week at the centre for sports at Frenchay Campus for 2 hours training sessions (day and time TBC).

£30.00 Include insurance, training sessions and membership to compete in WEBBA and BUCS leagues, kit, transport to BUCS games and the opportunity to participate in 1st aid and coaching courses.
All you need to take part is a positive attitude, willingness to learn, working as part of a team, improve and to take part in not just the sport side of the club but also in the varied and fun social life of it!
