Bath University have blocked the planned visit by the BNP leader Nick Griffin.
Following condemnation by Trade Unions, Students' Unions & the National Union of Students, Bath University have cancelled the lecture by the BNP's Nick Griffin, citing security fears.

Nick Griffin, leader of the BNP was due to give a lecture at The University of Bath on the 14th May 2007 at 7pm. NUS urged all students to join the protest at the University of Bath on the 14th May.

We fully support the democratic rights of students at Bath University. Earlier today (Thursday 10th May) the Students' Union of Bath University voted that they would oppose any talk by Nick Griffin, leader of the BNP, at their university, especially at a time that would disrupt exams and invade on their safe space.
We believe that each students' union has a right to act democratically and independently, and now that they have decided to oppose the talks by the BNP we also ask students of UWE to show their support by demonstrating with the NUS on the 14th of May or by writing to the Bath VC, Professor Glynis Breakwell, by email at vc-pa@bath.ac.uk or via post at:
