I can't Register

• I can't get past stage 1
  Cause: Username already exists. Check against the username field. It should say "username already exists". This means someone else has already taken the username.
  Solution: Try something else, something more original perhaps.
• I can't find my specific course.
  Cause: A few courses maybe missing from the databases.
  Solution: Choose the nearest matching course.
  Or
• Cause: It may be that the search doesn't recognise what you are entering. Do not enter course abbreviations or qualification type.
  Solution: E.g. Instead of LPC enter Legal Practice, instead of PGCE enter Education
• I've registered
  But
  I didn't recieve a membership number
  Or
  When I try to login it doesn't recognise me
  The likely causes are you have not pressed the save/submit buttons at the end of each page. Inparticular when you get to the summary page at the bottom of page underneath "Confirm details and Complete Registration" there is a Continue button, you need to press this to finally complete the registration.
• I don't know my UWE email and UWE student number
  We need this info to confirm that you are a UWE student or staff member. At certain times of the year this is an " Optional" field. If it's Optional you can leave these fields blank, if it's compulsory you will need to find these details to complete the registration.
• I can't register because I haven't sorted out my term time accommodation
  Enter you home (non-term) address so you can complete the registration. You will be able to change these details later.

• I've registered, but I don't know my membership number.
  Your membership number is displayed on the membership confirmation page at the end of the registration process, it is also sent via email to you. If you didn't make a note of the number and/or didn't receive it then SU admin staff can look them up for you.

NUS Extra Cards

• I've registered on the UWESU site but when I try to register on the NUS site it asks for a 16 digit number, what do I do?
  What you need is an NUS Extra card number, not the UWESU one. You can buy your NUS Extra card from www.nusextra.co.uk they cost £10 but offer plenty of ways for you to save money. You can also buy one from your Students' Union office.
• When I try to use my UWESU card in some shops, I get told there should be a barcode on the back to swipe it and so I can't use the Card?
  Some stores only accept the NUS Extra card. You can buy your NUS Extra card from www.nusextra.co.uk they cost £10 but offer plenty of ways for you to save money. You can also buy one from your Students' Union office.
