Have you got an idea to improve your community or change the world? It doesn’t matter how big or small, everyday or extraordinary Junction49 can help!

To get involved in current projects and find out about volunteering opportunities, keep reading...

Junction49.co.uk is where young people can share and develop ideas to make a difference. We can give you access to cash and support to turn your ideas to make a difference into reality. Junction49 at UWESU is offering students the chance to run their own campaigns, events and community projects, making it easy and cost-free. You’ll have the support of a dedicated Junction 49 Uni Worker, based in the Sports and Activities Centre and money to cover your expenses.

Last year one student and a group of friends ran a successful pillow fight that got people involved in exam stress busting exercises while raising money for charity. She accessed guidance from her Junction49 Volunteer Support Officer and was given the money to run her campaign.

Whether you want to do something on your own or with your mates, you don’t have to go it alone.

Visit the Sports and Activities Centre to chat to your Junction49 Volunteer Support Officer, Helen Seacombe, or email them on junction49@uwe.ac.uk

Projects to get involved with at the moment:

Don't have much time but want to get involved in volunteering?

Join in with the... CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX PROJECT

Junction49 at UWE is making as many Christmas shoeboxes as possible to send to orphan children in Bulgaria this Christmas.

On Thursday 30th October in room 4E13, 16:30-18:30 there will be a mass present wrapping session where volunteers will bring along an empty shoebox, a full shoebox or one or a few present items to put in a box. Then we will wrap the boxes and distribute the gifts into the boxes for children ranging between the ages of 0-18
