The UWE Real Ale Appreciation Society is a collective of people who all love a proper drink in a proper pub. We meet regulary for socials at some of bristols finest drinking holes and have tours at the many local breweries that we are lucky to have so close to us.
This year we hope to continue to grow as a society and interest many new drinkers to the delights of one of the finer things in life.
Many real ale pubs around Bristol on a monthly bias with brewery tours and tasting sessions of local ales and cidres arranged at various points each term. UWE Real ale will show you the nicer ‘off the track’ pubs you might never have found!
Local brewery tours. Last year we visited Bath Ales and Cotswold spring brewery, both great tours. This year we hope to do these again and more, including the well established Wickward and Butcombe breweries.
Tasting sessions at various pubs, including the Bristol Beer Factory and local cidre house ‘The Apple.’
The odd pub crawl here and there too…
