ive been toying with the idea 4 a while. thing is, i dont use tampons coz i find them so uncomfortable but pads just mae ya stink!!! + im allergic 2 latex, the mooncup ppl said that it should still b fine but im not sure. has any1 used them and is allergic to latex? have u had any probs?

Erm, it all sounds a tad daunting - I'd rather stick to traditional methods! I mean, how the heck are you gonna have s*x when you've got that thing in!?! Oh, and dishwasher?!?! Woah - bogus. Anyway, wouldn't it be better, and safer to use pads and tampons - I mean, what if you got attacked or something and the mooncup got moved about and ruptures some muscle?! Just a thought... :shock:

I'm a bloke and I know what you do when your in the mood and its that time of the month. Have a cold shower!! Only kidding girls, I'm more comfortable joking about this bit as its an arguement that can not be won.

In answer to that first q: erm, no - but aren't they easier to take out before you do it? I mean, could you imagine if a lass were gonna do it with her guy, then she had to run into the bathroom and take this medieval torture device out, and then sterilise it, before she fell into his arms?! He'd probably have fallen to sleep!!! :roll:

its not made of latex, its made of medical grade silicone, the stuff they use in operations because no one is allergic to it. I have a slight latex allergy and I'm oday with it.

You can't have sex when on your period, it's just gross, and this is coming from someone who has! (bet you all wanted to know that

)
But if you really wanted to -
Tampons - have to be taken out and then 'disposed of' properly.
Pads - yucky and again need to be disposed of.
Mooncup - go to the toilet, spend two seconds taking it out, swill it under the tap whilst you're also washing your hands, then its clean enough so you could put it back in and not have gross ucky sex, or you could put it in a bag or your pocket until you have time after the yucky sex to go boil it a bit. You only have to sterilise it 'inbetween' periods.
It is very squishy, and I really can't see how you could possibly hurt yourself with it, unless maybe you ate it :shock:

There is nothing wrong with sex during one's period apart from the fact that it is rather messy.
My boyfriend boiled my mooncup for me to sterilise it! Domesticated men are useful??
