By participating it assumed you have read, understood and will abide by the following;
These rules so that everyone can get the most out of the UWESU discussion boards. These rules protect all users by making sure the boards are safe and fun for everyone.

This forum is aimed at adult students of UWE, Bristol, some posts may contain strong language and topics not suitable for minors. While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit highly objectionable material, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not UWE Students' Union and hence will not be held liable.

About your posts
Keep your contributions civil and relevant. We're committed to providing an atmosphere in which friendly and mature dialogue takes place.

The following are not acceptable

Unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, racially offensive, homophobic, do not abide by the union's equal opportunities policy or are highly objectionable.

Flaming - either in the Message Boards or via email to a user.

Spamming - Don't cross post your messages to more than one discussion.

Impersonating someone else or attempting to mislead other members of the forum about your identity.

Please:

Stay on Topic - Try to keep posts on the subject of the thread.

Think twice before posting personal information about yourself (for example: your telephone number, home address etc). This is a publicly accessible forum, what you post on here can be found via Google and other search websites.

Be patient. Users of all abilities will be taking part in these forums.

Keep your posts to a reasonable length.

Keep graphics that you use in footers and avatars etc to reasonable dimensions. Footer graphics maximum height is 100 pixels.

You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic/content at any time should they see fit.

About the law
You may not post any defamatory or illegal material of any nature in the Message Boards. This includes text, graphics, video, programs or audio. Posting a message with the intention of committing an illegal act is strictly prohibited.

You agree to only post materials to which you have the copyright or other permission to distribute electronically. You may not violate, plagiarise, or infringe on the rights of third parties including copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, personal, publicity, or proprietary rights.

If you fail to abide by these rules and/or the UWESU.org Terms and Conditions, you will be formally warned by email. This warning may include a temporary suspension of your ability to participate in any or all of the Message Boards. If after this warning you continue to breach the Rules, you will be prohibited from using the discussions for an extended period of time.

Privacy
The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions.
This forum system uses cookies to store information on your local computer. These cookies do not contain any of the information you have entered above; they serve only to improve your viewing pleasure. The e-mail address is used for confirming your registration details and password (and for sending new passwords should you forget your current one). Occasionally priority announcements about the forum or about UWESU will be sent to your email address.

To report abuse of the boards directly please contact suweb@uwe.ac.uk
Individual posts can be reported for breach of Forum Rules using the exclamation mark button in the top right of the post. This will then be flagged up with the moderation team.

Changed the "NEVER POST PHONE NUMBERS" message to this.
