You’ve done it, you’re at Uni!
A big congratulations to everyone who got their A level results!
You’ve done it, you’re at Uni!!!! And UWE Students’ Union are going to be there for you every step of the way making sure you’re enjoying your student experience!
Yes here at your Students’ Union we’ve been working our socks off preparing an amazing assortment of Freshers' activities to kick start your year in style. Check out the Freshers08 website to know what’s going on!
But your union is not just here for Freshers' week, once the festivities have calmed and the lectures begun we’ll still be working hard to ensure your time here at UWE is everything you want it to be. UWESU offers everything from a variety of Sports and Activities , Student Reps , an independent Advice Centre , a Jobshop and nurseries to look after your little ones while you study.
Your union is run by 4 full time elected Presidents (Dom Passfield , Katy Phillips , Lily Priggs and Alice Bouquet ). All of us are here to speak out for you, the students of UWE, so if you have any questions or comments (we’ll take the good, bad and even the ugly!) you can email us through the links on the UWESU website , or pop up to visit us on the 4th and 5th floors of the Union (located in F block, on Frenchay Campus). These are our main offices, though we’ll often be around the other campuses as well! But there are amazing campus chairs ready and waiting for you should you need anything on your site!
So your university experience has begun, and we suggest you get stuck in! Look out for the Freshers' mailing that should be sent to you, get a picture on that all important Union membership card (it’s the green one) and we look forward to meeting you all next month! In the meantime why don’t you browse the website, check out the Freshers week events , buy some tickets , look up the sports and activities on offer, join our forum , if you’re on Facebook start chatting to people in your halls and on your course in the UWE Freshers 08 group.
Congratulations once again, and we’ll see you all in a few weeks!!
