Student Rep issues to go to the top of UWE
Student reps from all over UWE will at the next round of Faculty Student Councils (FSCs) discuss the top issues that they want the university to address.
Each Faculty Student Council meeting has been asked to consider what the top 3 issues are that prevent students from that faculty from fully enjoying their university experience. Reps will debate all the issues in the meeting, and decide on the order of importance for these matters. Each faculty has reps that represent them on the Student Representative Council and at the next meeting in the middle of the February, the Dean of Students of UWE, Jonathan Bradley, will be coming along to hear these issues direct from the students that have them.
This is an example of one of the many ways that student reps have been working this year to represent the views of the students on their course to the programme leaders, the faculty, and the university. Student reps are regular students who give up their time to work on the issues, there are a little under 1000 reps in the university, so if you have an issue there has never been a better time to get in touch with them and have your voice heard in the university. Contacting a rep is easy, just visit the student reps section of the site to find out more, or alternatively click on this link .
All students have an opprtunity to hear from another of the senior team at UWE, when the Deputy Vice Chancellor John Rushforth speaks at this years Annual General Meeting . Many student reps will be there, so why don't you come along to join them and take part in the most imporant meeting of the year for UWESU?
