Lacrosse

To prepare for next season the Bristol Bombers Lacrosse Club, which is the Bristol city team, are running training through the summer for both the mens and womens game.

Hi everyone
As some of you may know the sport of Lacrosse is growing fast in the UK, with womens lacrosse having been around for quite a while and a recognised BUSA sport, and the Full contact game of mens lacrosse expanding at a huge rate and entering its first year of BUSA next year. Due to this UWE are hoping to set up both a mens and womens team next year.
The womens training is on tuesday evenings for the next 5 weeks from 6.30-8 on the astro at comb dingle sports centre. The mens is yet to be confirmed.
All standards are welcome so for beginners it is a great opportunity to learn before the season starts, and for those with experience it will be useful to get some tips from a top coach.
If you are interested in playing a team sport at uni and want to try something different this is the sport for you. The women' s game is a fast moving and exciting game, and the men's is a full contact sport using full pads and helmets.
If anyone is interested in playing for UWE of partaking in the camps please contact either Guy at guyoldring@hotmail.com who is a UWE student, or Travis Taylor who is the coach and team coach of Bristol Bombers travis33taylor@hotmail.com . Or alternatively you can contact them through the facebook group "UWE lacrosse players in bristol"
Hope to see you soon

Guy
