Caring at Christmas

Every year Caring at Christmas make the festive season special for people sleeping rough on the streets of Bristol.

They open a shelter throughout the holiday time and provide beds, food, services and entertainment. The shelter needs lots of items for the shelter during the Christmas time.

There will be a collection point for items in 1D11, the main reception area at Frenchay Campus from Monday 26th November until Monday 10th December.

Items needed include:

Non Perishable Food
  • Tinned food - especially fish, corned beef, ham,soup, vegetables, baked beans etc.
  • Cereals, squash, soft drinks or fruit juice, ready made custard tinned and packeted, sugar, tea and coffee, condiments and sauces, gravy granules, mayonnaise, pickle.
  • Flour - plain and self raising. Cooking oil, jam and peanut butter.
  • Biscuits, cakes,chocolates, sweets, Christmas cakes, puddings and mince pies

Non Food items
  • Washing up liquid and cleaning products
  • Rubber gloves and disposable gloves
  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes
  • Razors and shaving foam
  • Shower Gel * miniatures preferred
  • Toilet paper
  • Washing power (for machines)
  • Cling film and foil
  • Soap* miniatures preferred
  • Shampoo and conditioner* miniatures preferred
  • Moisturisers - face and body* miniatures preferred
  • Female sanitary products
