Caring at Christmas
Every year Caring at Christmas make the festive season special for people sleeping rough on the streets of Bristol.
They open a shelter throughout the holiday time and provide beds, food, services and entertainment. The shelter needs lots of items for the shelter during the Christmas time.
There will be a collection point for items in 1D11, the main reception area at Frenchay Campus from Monday 26th November until Monday 10th December.
Items needed include:
Non Perishable Food
- Tinned food - especially fish, corned beef, ham,soup, vegetables, baked beans etc.
- Cereals, squash, soft drinks or fruit juice, ready made custard tinned and packeted, sugar, tea and coffee, condiments and sauces, gravy granules, mayonnaise, pickle.
- Flour - plain and self raising. Cooking oil, jam and peanut butter.
- Biscuits, cakes,chocolates, sweets, Christmas cakes, puddings and mince pies
Non Food items
- Washing up liquid and cleaning products
- Rubber gloves and disposable gloves
- Toothpaste and toothbrushes
- Razors and shaving foam
- Shower Gel * miniatures preferred
- Toilet paper
- Washing power (for machines)
- Cling film and foil
- Soap* miniatures preferred
- Shampoo and conditioner* miniatures preferred
- Moisturisers - face and body* miniatures preferred
- Female sanitary products
