Have you looked at your bank account recently and cringed?
Is your Student Loan a distant memory and your overdraft rapidly fading?
If so, the Students’ Union Advice Centre may have a software package that could help you!
We do not have our own funds to administer, however, we subscribe to a package called ‘FunderFinder’ which allows you to enter your personal information into the system and these details are then used to find external charities whose funds you may qualify for.
It is important to remember that just because you are matched to a charity, doesn’t mean you will qualify for an award from them as there is often a lot of other criteria to also fulfil. However, it is an option definitely worth considering if you have exhausted all other funding avenues.
If any matches are found, we will provide you with the relevant information and then it is your responsibility to contact them.
It can take over 30 minutes to do the program properly, therefore we recommend you book an appointment with the SU Advice Centre by e-mailing: advice@uwe.ac.uk or calling 0117 32 82676.
If you are not based at Frenchay, we can do the program with you over the phone but you will need a pre-booked appointment.
