A society to meet like minded people, giving the opportunity to become part of a strong social network. Already a great mixture of people, the society welcomes everyone whether Gay, Bi, Lesbian or straight to name just a few. Providing regular events at venues in the centre as well as on campus giving the opportunity to meet and mix with new people as well as catch up with old friends. The society is looking to become more involved politically regarding LGBT issues.
We have numerous planned events ranging from the weekly socials and coffee meetings to a weekend trip to Manchester, of which were sure you’ll enjoy.
Main socials are on Wednesdays where we meet informally for coffee also, in the evening we head over to flamingos for our student night, an event that is forever increasing in popularity with both us and the LGBT’s from neighboring Universities. As well as our weekly events throughout the year we have many events planned such as; Manchester, London and trips to the Theatre.
Our main trip is a weekend away to Manchester, giving time to explore the city and the clubs on offer. As well as this we have smaller trips planned to visit London and Cardiff. Due to popular demand the Award winning Drag Ball will also be held in April for its return and a second year.
