The Activities Council is the decision making forum for societies, student media, halls and site committees.
Activities Council is your chance to get involved with the way that your students' union is run. Representatives from all socitieties and a number of student bodies meet twice a term to discuss all manner of topics that affect students. From tackling NUS affiliation to on-site car parking, no issue is too small for Activities Council's considerations. An open meeting is held at the start of every year for you to come along to experience the type of meeting that can help to shape your experience at UWE.
The meetings for this academic year will be held on Frenchay Campus, from 5.30pm - 7.30pm on the following dates:
Anyone is free to attend the councils but one member from each society (usually the president), plus all site/standing committee chairs must attend every council. Only ratified members of the council are granted voting rights except for the open meeting at the last Activities Council of every term when we elected next year's site/standing committees and Societies Executive members.
Everything you ever needed to know about the council meeting on Tuesday 2nd December.
Council notes for the above including a Presidents report and agenda for the meeting.
Motions are a vital tool to get policies and proceedures that you want through Activities Council and supported by the Students' Union.
