UWE Students' Union - enhancing the student experience - www.uwesu.org

If you are on a club or society committee then the Ave It! scheme is here to recognise and reward the worthwhile work that you do for your activity.

Taking on a committee role in a club or society is a fantastic way to develop skills such as time management, communication, interpersonal skills and financial management that will be vital to employment after your degree.

Sometimes, though, it can be hard to fully explain exactly how much time and effort it takes to make your activity a success; this is where Ave It! (which stands for Accreditation of Volunt Eers In Transferable skills) comes in. Working in association with Young Bristol we offer certification from the nationally recognised government volunteer scheme, V .

It's easy to get started: just download the registration form and send it to chris.anthony@uwe.ac.uk . Then all you need to do send in the hours you spend working on club or society business every fortnight or so. At the end of the year, at either the Sports Awards Dinner or the Activities Awards Evening, you'll be presented with a certificate of your total hours.

For further information on how to get involved with the scheme, contact Chris Anthony, Ave It! Programme Manager, on: chris.anthony@uwe.ac.uk
