UWESU bars are located at each site, providing you with great value food and drink, whether you need a pre-lecture breakfast or a cold beer to wind down afterwards. Search “Events at UWE” on Facebook for all the latest events, from open mic nights, to themed events and quizzes. Look out for the Lock-In on all sites, the best value night out in Bristol.

Catering for a caffeine fix or a chilled beer with mouth-watering menus at great prices. Our bars also host a variety of evening entertainment (live music, DJs, quizes, theme nights etc).

Escape Bar

Everyone needs a local pub and if you live on Frenchay Campus (or Stoke park) then the Escape Bar, opposite the main reception, is your local pub. Serving a selection of beers, lagers, wines, spirits and soft drinks, you will find refreshment here for any occasion. Whether it’s a half hour break before a lecture, or a few drinks before a night in the city centre, we can quench your thirst or fill your stomach. Breakfast (including the famous Full Monty) is from 8am and a well priced menu of snacks and pub classics is available until 9pm Monday - Friday.

We have a little something for everyone. Have a look at what’s on offer every day of the week during term time:

Monday	Cocktail Night: 2-4-1 cocktails all night after 8pm
Tuesday	The Lock In: The biggest bargain of the week. Loads of drinks offers starting from £1, going all night long from 5pm
Wednesday	TBA
Thursday	Acoustic Open Mic Night: Come down with your instrument, speak to our compere and share your talent with your fellow students from 8pm
Friday	We’re as good value as we always are so come and have a drink before heading to ONE FIFTY FRIDAY in Red Bar
Saturday	Karaoke: DJ Tom Cat, with his extensive karaoke library, will be here so you can sing your favourite songs from 9pm
Sunday	Sundays @ Escape: Your chance to win big, starting with the Pub Quiz, where your team can win up to £100. Then the pool competition with a gallon of beer up for grabs.

Red Bar

Situated in the heart of the Frenchay campus, one floor up from Escape Bar, is Red Bar - a great cafe-bar by day and Frenchay campus’ own night club by night. Serving pizzas, wraps, burgers and pasta during the University day, and offering a full bar service throughout, Red Bar has a little something for everyone. We close down for the evening and re-open on selected nights. With the volume turned up and the flashing lights on, Red Bar is the heart of Frenchay night life.

Tuesday	The Lock In: The biggest bargain of the week , loads of drinks offers starting from £1. Free entry from 10pm, with DJ Ali playing classics and commerical music until 3am
Friday	One Fifty Friday: From 10pm every Friday, £1.50 entry and all drinks £1.50 (restrictions apply). With DJ JNo playing bass music and modern classics until you can dance no more.
