Student led projects

You have the chance through UWESU to run your own campaigns, events and community projects.

You can get:

  • Help and support to plan your project and follow through your idea
  • Free training and advice... (more information on training courses coming soon!)
  • Assistance in project planning
  • Money to cover your travel expenses if your project is off campus
  • Information on funding sources
  • Certificates and Accreditation

Also,

  • Gain new skills for your CV; eg. communication and leadership
  • Meet new people
  • Get your friends involved
  • Or just have fun!

Junction49 Future:

In 2008 – 2009 UWESU was extremely lucky to be awarded funds as part of the national Junction49 university volunteering project, run by the charity TimeBank. Unfortunately the funding for the Junction49 university project has now run out but help and support for student led projects is here to stay.

The Junction49 website is still around and may give you some ideas for projects: www.junction49.co.uk/uwe

To get involved:

Visit the Sports and Activities Centre and chat to your Volunteer Support Officer, Helen Seacombe;

email helenseacombe@uwe.ac.uk ; phone 0117 32 81665

I will look forward to meeting you!

If you have an idea for a project or would like some inspiration or if you're just curious to see what projects students were involved in last year, check out past projects
