Drama Facebook GroupDescription
Probably the best society in the world, certainly the ‘Most Improved’ society 06/07 and runner-up of the ‘Best Achievement’ award with our number of productions 07/08, UWE Drama society offers you the chance to take part in all aspects of drama and production. We hold weekly workshops on topics ranging from improvisation and clowning to Shakespeare. This year we are even planning a selection of professional led sessions to include stage fighting and technical training. The workshops are great fun and a fantastic opportunity to get to know the rest of the society in a relaxed environment. If the lure of the footlights is just too much for you then why don’t you audition for one of our shows? Last year we staged productions of The Danny Crowe Show, On the Shore of the Wide World, Betrayal and The Importance of Being Ernest, as well as some smaller scale performances with fright night and murder mystery evenings - and not forgetting the now infamous (Oh no it isn’t!) Christmas Panto. We also like to socialise… a lot. This year has included being cultural in Bath, building sandcastles in Weston and singing bad karaoke in Bristol. Hope to see you there!!!!
